CDS strengthens EU eDiscovery Capabilities During a Period of Heightened Data Privacy Concerns and Brexit Complications

Complete Discovery Source (CDS), leading provider of eDiscovery and data management solutions, announced today that it is expanding the company’s global footprint in the European Union (EU) with cloud-based eDiscovery solution, RelativityOne, in Switzerland and the Netherlands.

In Europe’s shifting legal and regulatory landscape, litigation and investigations continue to grow in scope, scale, and risk. Data privacy regulations make information sharing more complicated between jurisdictions. And in many cross-border matters, parties are required to keep data from leaving the country altogether.

CDS’ EU expansion leverages the company’s deep experience helping organizations address the challenges of complying with complex global data privacy laws.

“Companies and law firms based in and/or operating in Switzerland and the Netherlands responding to litigation or investigations, need a comprehensive, secure solution for data processing, hosting, review, and production,” said Nyi Htwe, Chief Technology Officer, CDS. “Built on the Microsoft Azure Cloud, RelativityOne is the most flexible, scalable, and secure platform for eDiscovery available.”

Since 2015, CDS has been on the ground in Switzerland, servicing global companies’ Swiss operations and data sources. CDS recently partnered with Relativity on the launch of RelativityOne Switzerland to provide clients access to leading-edge eDiscovery.

CDS’ expansion to the Netherlands is designed to provide European companies that are concerned about Brexit the opportunity to support their businesses in mainland Europe. Looking ahead to the potential issues that may arise between the EU and the UK, companies can now achieve some peace of mind by opening their litigation hub within the EU.

“CDS has been a key Relativity partner for more than a decade, having expanded global services and support, and helping many customers make the move to the cloud,” said Steve Couling, Managing Director and VP Sales, EMEA at Relativity. “We are excited for CDS to and their expansion of their RelativityOne footprint into Switzerland and the Netherlands, offering their deep-rooted expertise to more corporations and law firms in Europe.”

CDS maintains data centers in the US, Canada, UK, and EU and executes multi-jurisdictional data collections and analysis around the world. When data can’t be moved out of local data centers and/or requires remote access, CDS Digital Customs™ can be deployed onsite in corporate facilities.
