New Use Cases, Real Conversations
The CDS team had a fantastic time at Relativity Fest London 2025 connecting with peers, sharing insights, and exploring the future of legal technology. A standout moment was the panel session “Beyond Litigation: New RelativityOne Use Cases Deliver New Levels of Legal Data Intelligence,” featuring our own Mark Anderson, Managing Director, EMEA.
Innovation was front and center, especially around how legal teams are adapting to complex data types like short messages. From Teams to Slack, chat content is growing rapidly in volume and complexity. Relativity’s latest enhancements let users search, filter, and tag messages down to emojis, edits, and reactions. In a world where short messages leave a long trail, that level of control is a game-changer.

Secret Garden, Smart Connections
During Fest, CDS hosted our signature Secret Garden Social, a vibrant space where attendees reconnected, exchanged ideas, and got a glimpse of what we’re building next.
One hot topic? Generative AI. At Fest, we saw real-world applications, not just buzz. Relativity aiR is already in use by half of EMEA customers and delivering measurable impact. Agentic workflows are helping legal teams move beyond basic automation and into true efficiency. The results speak for themselves.

Smarter Conversion, Sharper Review
CDS Convert was a standout, showing how we transform over 40 data types—including complex chat formats—into review-ready files like RSMF 2.0, EML, and PDF. Powerful filtering helps reduce data size and costs before processing, giving legal teams more control over review strategy.
RelativityOne’s processing speed was another major highlight. It now supports 100 GB per hour, with plans to double again. This makes same-day review a realistic goal, even for large data volumes. The future of fast, efficient processing is already here.

Visual Data, Finally Simplified
CDS Vision makes reviewing visual data easier than ever. Tools like Image Gallery speed up coding, while Object Detection and Summaries deliver quick visual insights. Our upgraded OCR technology even handles cursive or low-quality text with impressive accuracy.
Relativity also introduced a major upgrade for A/V review. Their new integrated transcription tool converts recordings into searchable, comment-friendly text directly within RelativityOne. No need for third-party tools or time-consuming timestamps.

Looking Ahead: What’s Next for AI and Legal Data?
Another exciting reveal at Fest was Relativity’s upcoming support for AI-generated content. Starting in July, users will be able to collect prompts, responses, and metadata from tools like Google Gemini, with seamless conversion into a review-friendly format.
The biggest takeaway? Relativity isn’t just evolving, it’s leading. With smarter tools, faster speeds, and solutions tailored to real legal challenges, the platform is transforming from a system of record into a true system of action.
We’ll see you at the next Relativity Fest London – ready for even faster reviews, fewer headaches, and smarter legal tech.
