CDS Joins Consero’s Inaugural eDiscovery Leadership Forum

Jan 19, 2026

January 2026 marks a meaningful moment for the legal technology community as Consero, in partnership with TruLegal (formerly TRU Staffing), launches its first eDiscovery-focused leadership forum. Taking place January 21–23 at the Biltmore Miami in Coral Gables, the Consero eDiscovery Leadership Forum convenes senior corporate legal leaders, solution providers, and industry experts for a highly curated, peer-driven exchange on eDiscovery strategy, innovation, and the realities shaping modern legal practice.

True to Consero’s signature approach, the forum is designed as a multi-day, high-touch experience hosted in a destination setting. It blends active panel discussions, intimate breakout sessions, and thoughtfully integrated opportunities for both structured business meetings and meaningful downtime. The result is an environment that fosters candid conversation, practical insight, and relationship-building at the leadership level.

CDS is proud to be among the eDiscovery organizations participating in Consero’s inaugural forum. CDS will also contribute to the program’s speaking faculty, with William Wallace Belt Jr. and Michael Milicevic joining fellow industry leaders to share perspectives grounded in real-world discovery execution.

TruLegal’s Enduring Role in Advancing the eDiscovery Community

A driving force behind the conference is TruLegal, a long-standing leader in legal talent and advisory services with deep roots in the eDiscovery ecosystem. TruLegal’s involvement brings a practitioner-first lens shaped by decades of working alongside organizations navigating discovery operations, legal technology adoption, and workforce transformation.

CDS and TruLegal share a partnership of over 16 years, built on trust, consistency, and a shared commitment to client success. Over that time, a number of professionals have progressed from TruLegal into CDS roles, supporting CDS’ growth and operational maturity. That parallel evolution reflects a relationship grounded in collaboration and a shared understanding of what defensible, effective discovery truly requires.

A High-Impact KnowledgeBridge Session on AI and Proportionality

One of the forum’s most anticipated sessions is CDS’ KnowledgeBridge breakout on Wednesday, January 21 at 3:30 PM. The 50-minute interactive discussion – When the AI Math Doesn’t Math: Rethinking Technology, Cost, and Proportionality in Discovery – is designed to move beyond surface-level commentary and into practical, experience-driven dialogue.

Led by Michael Milicevic, Vice President of eDiscovery Products and Solutions, and William Wallace Belt Jr., Managing Director, Consulting, the session examines how generative AI is fundamentally reshaping the economics of eDiscovery. When technology can analyze hundreds of thousands of documents per day and materially reduce review costs, traditional proportionality arguments begin to fracture.

Through real-world case examples and point-counterpoint discussion, attendees will explore how courts are already signaling change, and what modern, defensible proportionality arguments must look like in an AI-enabled discovery landscape.

Extending Beyond the Forum

As the eDiscovery community enters a period of rapid technological and economic change, platforms like Consero’s create space for honest, experience-driven conversations that leaders need to navigate what comes next. If you’re rethinking proportionality, cost, or AI strategy in discovery, reach out to Complete Discovery Source to continue the conversation at .
