#CDS20: Behind the Scenes—Meet the Teams Powering CDS

While clients may interact with only a few familiar faces throughout a project, it truly takes a village to keep our customer success rates so high. Behind every project is a network of teams working seamlessly together to achieve a common goal—ensuring client success.

This month, we’re highlighting the critical collaboration between our Client Services (CS), Project Support (PS), and eProduction (eProd) teams. From the initial idea or workflow suggestion through to execution and quality control, many hands contribute behind the scenes. The success of every project is built on the shared vision and synergy within these teams, reflecting our commitment to exceptional service.

Client Services: Leading with Experience

Our Client Services (CS) team plays a pivotal role in planning, consulting, and executing our clients’ goals. But what ensures that every client’s unique needs are met? One key factor is that many of our leaders have grown into their roles over time, like Cory Logan, VP of Client Services.

“In my years with CDS, I’ve had the opportunity to wear many hats, and that experience has helped me develop a unique perspective on the needs of our clients. Leading with empathy and expertise allows us to deliver actionable strategies that truly reflect what our clients require to succeed,” says Cory Logan.

This combination of hands-on experience and strategic leadership enables the CS team to maintain the highest level of service while translating client needs into solutions.

Project Support: The Engine of Excellence

While the CS team takes care of client-facing communication, our Project Support (PS) team ensures that the workload is balanced and executed with precision. The PS team alleviates pressure from our client-facing staff by managing complex workflows and stepping in to handle issues when they arise, including liaising with Relativity to resolve technical challenges.

Jonathan Solomon, Director of Operational Development, explains how PS is essential to internal collaboration:

“Our PS team works across various departments, handling technical challenges while helping streamline processes. It’s this behind-the-scenes synergy that ensures projects run smoothly.”

The PS team provides internal growth opportunities, with many members advancing from Project Coordinator to Project Manager, gaining experience in managing complex projects, understanding client needs, and executing solutions with excellence. Reflecting on the team’s dedication, he adds:

“The journey from the suggestion of a workflow to its execution and quality control involves so many hands. Each member of the team plays a crucial role in finding the optimal solutions to even the most complex challenges. Every request that comes in is an opportunity for us to innovate. Together, we thrive on delivering results that exceed expectations and achieving customer success.”

eProduction: The Finishing Line

The eProduction (eProd) team holds what some consider one of the most critical positions in the eDiscovery process. Interacting with project managers on client matters daily, they ensure that every project is completed according to its specs with unparalleled attention to detail, leaving no room for error. Many of our eProd team members have produced documents for clients and government agencies for years, bringing seasoned expertise to every process step.

Alejandro Londono, EDD Processing Manager, explains the importance of his team’s work:

“Our engineers are experts in receiving data in various formats, producing it according to industry standards and client specifications, and ensuring it’s posted on the relevant software platforms. Given the complexity of many eDiscovery projects, there is absolutely no room for error.”

He also highlights the team’s experience:
