Bio

As the Director of eDiscovery Strategy, Chris O’Connor advises clients on the use of technology in all aspects of the eDiscovery Reference Model (EDRM) from collection through production. He applies his deep knowledge of legal technology and processes to the design of case strategies and workflows to be implemented by clients and the CDS Project Management Team. Working with clients on bet the farm, matters, Chris has implemented the use of analytic technologies including those leveraging artificial intelligence. He has worked with software companies on their technologies in development counseling on everything from fact pattern analysis to continuous active learning. Prior to his role at CDS, Chris has worked as a litigation technology project manager at multiple law firms including members of the Am Law 100. During his 10 years at CDS, Chris has overseen technology transitions, the development of our technology stack, the expansion of CDS Project Management to a Global Level and our partnerships with our technology partners. Chris has had numerous speaking engagements where he has presented to lawyers, technologists, and the U.S. Federal Government on the intricacies of working with Big Data with topics ranging from the use and design of analytic technologies, to cyber security and protection. Most recently Chris has hosted and participated in panels surrounding data approaches to Force Majeure and the upcoming LIBOR transition.
